[VDI]VMs With 3D Graphics Only Is Selected on This 3D Host

Issue Description

User is using VDI client to access the VM failed and prompt error:

  • "The virtual machine is being powered on. Please try again later. Host-xxxxxxxx VMs with 3D graphics only (unless running location is specified) is selected on this 3D host."

Handling Process

  1. User unable to access 2D VM after loging in to VDI client.

  2. Check the 2D VM running location, it has edited to run on specifies host (Eg: Host A) only.

  3. Go Host A summary page, and found it has configured only allow 3D VMs to run on this host.file

  4. Next, change to "No limit", and now VDI client is able to access the 2D VM normally.

Root Cause

2D VM unable to run on only 3D VM allowed VMP host.

Solution

Change the 3D VM only limitation to no limit.
