【NGAF】Eth0 As WAN Port But Internal Cannot Access Internet

Issue Description

Customer configure eth0 as WAN port. The source address conversion has a matching number but cannot access the Internet.

Handling Process

  1. Check the interface configuration (require to confirm the interface had enable WAN attribue).

  2. In the SNAT policy, the IP address of the outbound interface is changed to 10.251.251.251. After the IP address is translated to the specified public IP address, the internal network is normal.

Root Cause

During the source address translation selects the outbound interface address. The device randomly selects an IP as the translated IP address in the IP of the outbound interface.

Solution

In the SNAT policy, select translate to specific IP.
