【BBC】BBC email alarm setting error: Username and password authentication error
Problem Description
The BBC device wants to configure email alerts and email easy deployment. After configuring the alert settings, click Email Test, and it prompts: The user password authentication of the mailbox is wrong

2. Find the configuration document of BBC email alert and discover that the password filled in for SMTP authentication is not the login password of the mailbox, but a password for STMP authorization. The following figure takes 163 as an example to introduce how to obtain the SMTP authorization password:
(1) Find the settings of 163 mailbox and open the STMP settings first
(2) Then follow the settings below and click Add Authorization
(3) After the operation, the password framed in the figure below is the password of STMP
- Fill in the boxed part in the password field of BBC's SMTP email settings in the second step, and test whether the email can be sent normally.
Root cause
The password for STMP authentication is not the login password for the email address, but needs to be set separately.
solution
According to the above settings, get the STMP authorization password, and then fill it in the password column in the BBC STMP authentication, and you can send emails normally.
