【BBC】Email validity test failed — due to incorrect DNS

Problem Description

When configuring the mailbox on the BBC device, it was found that the mailbox validity test failed, resulting in the device being unable to send emails normally.

Process——

  1. Check the email server configuration and password to make sure there are no errors. And it has been successfully tested in other network devices and can send emails normally

  1. Use nslookup smtp.163.com on the PC to resolve the address of the 163 server, and then fill the resolved IP into the server address or domain name box for testing

  1. After testing, it was found that the test email validity was successful. After checking here, we can basically determine that it is a DNS problem.

  1. Fill in the DNS of PC to the BBC device and test again. The email can be sent normally.
