  1. I found an internal BBC device for testing. After configuring all the SMTP authentication content, I found that the alarm notification in the BBC alarm setting no longer had any related errors. I made the same configuration changes to the customer's device, and the same thing happened.

Root cause

Email alerts require SMTP authentication configuration. Leaving it blank will result in an error when configuring the mailbox in the alert notification.

solution

  1. Configure authentication in SMTP
