Problem Description
The customer modified the scanning engine category policy on ES Manager, but found that the terminal did not automatically synchronize.
Effective Troubleshooting Steps
- Check that the terminal is online and communicating properly with all ES Manager ports.
- Upon checking the configuration, it was found that the customer has enabled the option to allow terminal modification policies. If this lock is open, the ES Manager configuration cannot be synchronized to the terminal.
Root Cause
The customer's configuration allows terminal configuration, and the terminal configuration takes precedence.
Solution
After changing the policy to prohibit terminal configuration, once the management platform is confirmed, the policy will be distributed and synchronized to the terminal normally.
