Problem Description

6.0R4 version, heterogeneous management of vmware cluster.
Migrating virtual machines from HCI Migrate to VMware vCenter will directly prompt a failure to obtain vCenter storage information.

Effective Troubleshooting Steps

Check that the HCI to VMware network is functioning properly and the versions are also matching. Migrating virtual machines from VMware to HCI is normal.
The customer's environment has aCMP, HCI managed through aCMP, and vmware.
Upon inspection, it was found that when migrating virtual machines to VMware on aCMP, storage information cannot be directly obtained.

Problem cause: No storage Tag were configured for the VMware Cluster aCMP, which resulted in the inability to select a storage location during cross-platform migration. Direct migration on HCI will fail.


Solution

After configuring the storage Tag, virtual machines can be Migrate to VMware vCenter platforms.
