Problem Description

Error message while using migration software and ISO migration: Please check whether the boot disk or the system disk is a GPT disk, if so, upgrade system to Windows Server 2008 R2 first before performing migration operation.

Process –

  1. Check the Windows operating system in Control Panel-System and you will find that it is Windows Server 2007, which means it is the earliest version of Windows 2008. You need to upgrade the operating system to Windows Server 2008R2 for successful migration.

Root Cause

The operating system is not Windows Server 2008R2.

Solution

Upgrade Windows 2007 to Windows Server 2008R2.
