[HCI-Monitoring Center] Use SNMP to monitor virtual machines

Problem Description

The Windows system often fails to pass authentication using WMI. In this case, you can change to SNMP credentials for authentication.

Solution

  1. Install and configure the SNMP service for Windows system according to this link.
    Note that during the setting process, if there is no "Security" option as shown in the figure below, restart the service, close the entire management page of "Service" and reopen it again, and do not restart the server.
  2. After adding the community name in "Security", add "Credentials" in the monitoring center and keep it the same as the settings on the Windows system. Then just reference the certificate.
