[IAG] Bridge mode deployment, bandwidth cannot be increased through IAG – incorrect working mode

Problem Description

When the IAG bridge mode is deployed in the network, the export bandwidth is 100M, but after passing through the IAG it can only reach about 50M and cannot go any higher.

Process——

  1. In bridge mode, disconnect IAG, and then use a speed test tool to test that the speed can reach 100M. However, if IAG is connected, it can only run at around 50M.
  2. Check [System Management] – [Network Configuration] – [Network Port Configuration] and find that the working mode of IAG's eth0 port, which is the port Core Switch, is 100Mb/s/Half, that is, 100M half-duplex.

Root cause

The IAG network port working mode is incorrect, resulting in the speed not being able to reach the target.

solution

Change the working mode of IAG's eth0 port to auto-negotiation, negotiate with Core Switch to 100M full-duplex, and then test the rate, which can reach 100M normally.
