[AF] Custom URL is not recognized correctly and is recognized as other

Problem Description

In the AF8.0.35 version, in the scenario of intranet access to the Internet, a custom URL was created, and the security protection Policies was also created for the custom URL. The custom URL was not matched and was identified as other, and the http recognition was inaccurate.

Effective troubleshooting steps

  1. Check the custom URL and see if the configured domain name is included

  2. Check the Website Access Blocking recorded by monitoring, and find that some of them are identified as custom URL Policies, and some are identified as others

  3. Configure a loop packet capture script on the AF internal network port to capture the data of the corresponding server.

    It is found that the normal recognition method is the http post method, and the recognition of other is the http put method
    Check the URL Filter configuration. Currently, the HTTP put method is not supported. Only the HTTP get and post methods are supported.

Root cause

URL Filter setting does not support the HTTP put method, resulting in inaccurate recognition
