Issue Description

The user has configured the DHCP, but the PC failed to get IP from NGAF.

Handling Process

  1. Perform packet capture on the interface.

  2. Check on the DHCP packet, found that PC has sent the DHCP Discover packets to NGAF but NGAF didn’t reply.
    file

  3. Check on the system log, and found that there is an Error log generated.

Error Message: When Interface (ethx.x) is added to IP pool (x.x.x.x-x.x.x.x), total number of IP addresses exceed the maximum (10000). THis IP pool is banned from use.
    file

  4. Verify with support team that currently NGAF only support configure the IP pool up to 10000 IP address.

The IP pool of the DHCP exceeded 10000 IPs, causing the DHCP to fail to work.
