【NGAF】PC assigned with incorrect IP address from DHCP service.

Issue Description

NGAF configured with DHCP to offer the IP for the LAN segment device. However encounter the LAN PC assigned with incorrect IP address detials causing the LAN PC unable access internet.

Handling Process

1.Inspect if the DHCP configured with correct IP pool.
2.Perform the packet capture on PC identify the incorrect IP address is offered from other DHCP server.

Root cause

The incorrect IP address is offered by other DHCP server.

Solution

1. Inspect the IP of the DHCP whether is legitimate DHCP server on the network.
2. Inspect the layer 3 device to identify the reason the LAN PC able to received DHCP offer from that DHCP server.
