【aCMP】How to create a heterogeneous VM backup

Problem Description

ACMP heterogeneous VM cannot be created for disaster recovery, and the Virtual Machine Quota is insufficient.

Effective troubleshooting steps

When using ACMP, VM on the VMware vCenter cannot be backed up directly and a Disaster Recovery plan needs to be created. Even if you do not have a aDR (Cross-Site Disaster Recovery) Licensing, you can create one with a VM heterogeneous Licensing.

  1. First check whether the storage performance is writable, such as high-performance storage mode.
  2. Check whether ACMP has authorized HCI to perform heterogeneous Licensing
  3. Check whether Resource Pool has set Quota limits for the Virtual Machine.
  4. Check whether Quota has been Allocate.
  5. Check the compliance warnings
