[SCP] After SCP6.3.80 version manages VMs, the backup VM prompts that the current system does not support heterogeneous VMs

Problem Description

When backing up a VM on SCP, a message appears saying that the current system does not support heterogeneous VMs.

Warning Information

The current system does not support heterogeneous VM management. Please update the License Key

Effective troubleshooting steps

  1. Check the License Key on SCP and find that there is a License Key number for VM heterogeneous management
  2. Edit Cluster Licensing and find that SCP does not issue heterogeneous management Licensing the Cluster
  3. After issuing heterogeneous management Licensing to Cluster on SCP, manual backup works normally

Root cause

The VM backup is ultimately backed up on the HCI Cluster. The heterogeneous management Licensing is not issued to the HCI Cluster, resulting in the HCI Cluster not being Licensing to back up the VM VM
