[SCP] HCI grouping cannot be synchronized to SCP

Problem Description

HCI packets cannot be synchronized to SCP

Warning Information

Effective troubleshooting steps

  1. According to our understanding, the customer first controls HCI through SCP and then adds a new group on HCI. After clicking Synchronize Sync Now in the SCP Resource Pool, the group still cannot be synchronized.
  2. Triggering group synchronization in the scp background /sf/bin/apollo-sync-from-cluster –group-sync –cluster-id does not work either
  3. Check that HCI is scloud6.9.0 version, SCP is 6.9.0 version and has been patched. By checking the patch documentation and contacting R&D, it is confirmed that the scp690 version patch will disable the scp synchronization of HCI groups. The HCI groups can only be synchronized by rolling back the patch or upgrading to SCP6.9.1.

Root cause

Some users may not want to use the scp synchronous grouping function, but some customers need it, so a patch was developed. Pure SCP6.9.0 can synchronize groups normally without the patch.

solution

Roll Back back the patch or upgrade scp to version 6.9.1

Operation Impact Scope

No impact. If you want to roll back the patch or upgrade SCP, you need to take a snapshot first.

Suggestions and Conclusion

Medium recommended that customers upgrade to version 6.9.1. The general patch of scp version 6.9.1 will not affect scp synchronization grouping.
