Problem Description

SCP private image space usage is high (abnormal)
Private image space occupies 90%, with only one 4G image file

Warning Information

Effective troubleshooting steps

  1. Check the private image, there is only one 4G iso image file
  2. Check Tenant storage Quota and Allocate that 100G of space is allocated.
  3. Check the number of External Storage and find that the customer has more than ten External Storage.
  4. When uploading an iso image, in order to ensure that each storage can use this iso, the uploaded iso will be distributed to each storage, which will cause a large amount of Quota space to be occupied. Therefore, there is only one 4G iso image file, but it occupies 95.67G Quota space.

Root cause

When uploading image iso image, in order to ensure that each storage can use the iso, the uploaded iso will be distributed to each storage, which will cause a large amount of Quota space to be occupied. Currently, there is no solution to the calculation method of storage Quota.

solution

In aOC (Operations Center) – Tenant Quota, increase the quota of Storage – Private image Space.
