[SCP] VMware migration of VM to hyper-convergence prompts abnormal communication with vCenter

Problem Description

Migrating Virtual Machine reports an error: Communication with vCenter is abnormal. Please check the network or vCenter status.

Effective troubleshooting steps

  1. Check the vCenter status on the page. Log in to the scp backend and use the ping command to check. The vCenter connectivity is normal and port 443 is normal.
  2. Check the 443 and 902 of the IP of exsi where VM is located, and the access to the domain name fails

Root cause

The network configuration of scp is abnormal and the domain name of exsi cannot be resolved

solution

Add a DNS address that can resolve the corresponding exsi domain name to the scp network configuration
