Force deletion of PV and PVC

Problem Description

Need to force delete PV and PVC from the frontend.

Alert Information

Deleting PV and PVC on the interface does not have any effect.

Effective Troubleshooting Steps

  • Ensure that there are no pods using them. If there are, retry the forced cleanup of the pods.
  • If it is determined that PV and PVC need to be deleted regardless of other situations, refer to the steps in the following section.

Root Cause

  • PV and PVC have a finalizers field which protects the data inside.

Solution

Directly edit the finalizers field via the interface or kubectl. After removing the finalizers field, wait for a while, and the resources should be cleaned up (if it doesn't work, try deleting again).
