Introduction
The App Center module publishes files from the VDC file database to the App Center on a virtual desktop. It allows users to download and obtain these files by themselves, meeting their personalized software requirements when virtual desktops are in persistent mode.
Prerequisites

A file database server has been deployed, and the VDC can communicate with the server.

The virtual desktop is running a Windows system.

Procedure
- Log in to the VDC console. Go to Services > Files > File Database. On the File Database page, click New to create a file or click Edit to edit the corresponding file.




- Under File Configuration, select Enabled for Publish to App Center and complete the related settings as required.

| Version | This parameter is available only when Task Configuration is set to Software/File and it is required to identify the software version. You can enter the vendor release number of the software or the company’s internal customized identification version number. |
| Offered By | This parameter is available only when Task Configuration is set to Software/File and is required. It is used to identify the publisher of the software. Set it as required. |
| Operating System | This parameter is available only when Task Configuration is set to Software/File and is required. It is used to identify the operating systems compatible with this software. The options are Windows 7 (32-bit), Windows 7 (64-bit), Windows 10 (32-bit), Windows 10 (64-bit), and Windows 11 (64-bit). You can select one or more operating systems. |
| Object | Specify the publishing scope of the file. The options are User and VM. When User is selected, the software is available for all virtual desktops owned by the user, as long as their operating systems are supported. When VM is selected, the software is available only to the specified virtual desktops with the operating system. |
| Silent Installation Parameters | Optional. After the configuration, the software downloaded from the App Center through aDesk VDI Assistant can be automatically installed in silent mode, and no software installation window is displayed. |
| App Startup Info Configuration | Optional. Determine the software installation status. The software can be started directly by clicking the icon in the App Center. |
- To publish files to the App Center in bulk, select them and click Batch Publish. In the User dialog box, publish related files to new users.

How to obtain App Startup Info Configuration:
App Startup Info Configuration is set to the software information written in the computer’s registry. Path for storing the registry:Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Use Notepad++ as an example. The registry subkey value is notepad++.exe in the path for storing the registry, as shown in the following figure. Therefore, set App Startup Info Configuration to notepad++.exe.
