【VDI】Convert HCI VM to VDI VM Configuration Guide
1 Introduction
This guide addresses the issue of creating a virtual machine but not creating it by selecting adesk Apps, resulting in its being unable to be converted to a template on the VDC. Or in other scenarios where you are migrating from another platform to an HCI platform and want to use it as a VDI template.

2 Configuration Steps
- Download VDI (aDesk) aDesk Tools to your local PC on the Sangfor Community.

- Run aDesk_Tools.exe as administrator and use the VM Conversion Tool.

- Fill in the Project and Login information. In Login Information, fill in the cluster IP of HCI and the admin account password, and keep the SSH port 22 as default.

- When Log in to HCI, find the HCI type VM that needs to be converted. Please select it and click Next.

- In Step 3, click Next.

- After confirming that the virtual machine information is correct, click Start Conversion.

- Confirm that the virtual machine conversion was successful.

- Log in to the VDC console, navigate to Assets > VM Templates, and click New > Import VM Template.

- The process of converting HCI VM to VDI VM templates is completed by importing the VM templates converted by the previous tool into the VDC’s VM Templates.
