[VDI] VDI Nodes Unable To Join Cluster

Issue Description

The user try to join 2 VDI nodes into a cluster but facing the error: "The host has used, please restore to original status".

Handling Process

  1. Suspect that the VDI has previously been used for a one-node deployment. After checking with the user, it is confirmed that there are no VMs or data on the VDI nodes.

  2. Suggest the user do a factory reset on both servers.
    Path : System > System backup and restart > Restore to Factory Default.

  3. After the reset, both servers were able to join the cluster, and the issue was resolved

Solution

Factory reset the existing VDI nodes.
