Issue Description

Customer wants to upgrade from current VDI 5.4.0 EN to VDI 5.5.0 EN but during upgrade, task failed with the following error message.

‘appsh’ execute failed
[2021-10-28 06:22:19] [erro] user group enable max_users attribute, can’t upgrade.
[2021-10-28 06:22:19] [erro] exec hook script failed, break. hook_script: /sf/tmp/system_update/scripts//hook/hook_for_check/check_user_group_concurrency.sh
[2021-10-28 06:22:19] [erro] pre-update check failed.

Error/Warning Information

Handling Process

1. Check on VDC user group configurations, find that there is a user group that is configured with a maximum number of concurrent users as 20.
   

2. Modify the value to 0 and save.

Root Cause

VDI 550 no longer supports the configuration of the maximum number of concurrent users. So you need to set it to 0.

Solution

1. Modify the value of [Max Concurrent Users].
